Morley's Final Catalogue: C. ambigua, is a recent immigrant to the south coast.
The first county record was in 1948.

Recent Suffolk Status: Abundant.

Life history: Double-brooded. Flies well into November in recent times.

Identification: Similar to the Rustic and the Uncertain, but smaller and with a pure white hindwing.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.

Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1948.
Last Recorded in 2023.
